The study found that vitamin A and D levels were negatively correlated with fasting blood glucose—meaning as vitamin levels went down, blood sugar levels went up. The relationship was stronger for vitamin A than for vitamin D, but both showed a measurable statistical association.
Using advanced statistical analysis, researchers identified both vitamins as independently associated with Type 1 diabetes after accounting for other factors like body temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and BMI.
